Course Update: Greens Condition

As many know, we got hit hard this winter and struggled with condition of the greens from the hard freeze. The crew has been working hard to get them back in to the condition expected. While we may not be 100%, with a few small spots on the perimeter still needing to fully grow in, the overall conditions look like the pictures above and below. They are looking great and getting full canopy coverage. (Pictures taken early July).

Some of the work that had been completed:

#1 Green was closed down and completely sprigged. This grow in is complete and #1 green is fully back open as of June 10th.

#18 Green – Back Half and left side was sprigged and has grown back in by mid June.

Holes #2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 15, 17 was sprigged in bad patches along the perimeter of the greens for a quicker grown in. Those areas are at 90-95% grown in and being mowed daily as of July 5th.

The back half of the Putting Green was sprig after a July aeration and is taking in nicely. Looking to be complete grow in by mid August.

They are getting even better everyday and we will continue to working on them and the rest of the course.

Food Truck Coming Soon

We had to demo our kitchen for the new club house construction a week or so ago, we have brought in a Food Truck to bring you our famous Hot Dogs, Chicken Salad Sandwiches and more. Some may have seen it on the property already. We will have it up and running soon! Just waiting on certification. We apologies for the delay and inconvenience in this transition.

The Bays Bar is Open on the back of the Range and the Turn!

Driving Range Update:

All new mats have been installed in all 15 bays with new hit strips for better club/turf interaction and less jarring on your hands and wrists.

We have completed putting up new netting around the perimeter on the driving range to help the staff with balls leaving the range.

A fan replacement for better air circulation will be taking place over the next week for a more enjoyable experience while use the Toptracer Range.

Open every night till 9 pm, Rain or Shine and lighted.

New Cart Barn Completed

New cart barn is completed and can now hold over 80+ carts. Please make sure you drop off carts in the new drop off location. A temporary pro shop is located in the front right corner of the barn. Please use the front door that says Pro Shop to check in for golf.

New Club House Construction Continues and Progressing Nicely!

The new front entrances are up and windows and facade completed on the front. The sides and back walls have been framed out for windows and doors. We have demoed the temporary pro shop and kitchen to start work on the inside. Plumbers and crew have opened up the slab to add plumbing with that to be completed and slab repoured next week with the addition on the east end of the building as well.

Once slab has cured then new additions outer walls and framing will begin on the inside for the new club house.

New Club House will have a Larger Pro Shop, Expanded Food/Drink Menu w/ Indoor & Outdoor Seating, plus 4 Trackman Simulators!!

AC duct work has been installed in the rafters and insulation soon to be installed as well.

Above you see the Old Cart Barn and below that same building will turn into the new Club House. This new club house will expand the original club house footprint by 4 times. Giving us a larger pro shop, bigger bathrooms, an upgraded and expanded Kitchen and for the first time indoor seating with a 30 ft bar. You can see a rendering below of the outside and the expected layout of the inside. In addition, we will be installing 4 state-of-the-art Trackman Indoor Simulator Bays! These bays will be available to book by the hour and offer a unique experience only at The Preserve at Turnbull Bay!

These upgrades will give our golfers a chance to play the game they love…no matter the weather or time of day:

• 18 Holes of golf at the Preserve at Turnbull Bay
• 15 bays powered by Toptracer Range
•  All new experience of the Indoor Trackman Simulators

Completed Projects

New Cart paths have been completed since Dec and have been a great addition to the course for a much smoother ride and cleaner round.

Driving Range Upgrades: Netting, Hitting Mats, upgrades Toptracer equipment completed as of June 15th.

New Cart Barn: Completed May 26′ with new temporary Pro Shop located in the front right corner (follow the signs).
